As a result of its outstanding mechanical properties, Polyphen® can be used as a steel sandwich panel core at lower density than polyurethane or phenolic foams. This translates into a cost advantage, which is further increased by lower chemicals cost per unit weight. The combined effect of low density and low cost chemicals ensures that the cost performance of PolyphenŽ is competitive amongst fire resistant core materials suitable for steel clad sandwich panels and rendering.
