Foam

The  production process of Polyphen® is versatile, in that several conventional methods can be employed, depending on the desired product type and output rate.  Thus, the foam can be made in a simple, low cost batch mixing  process, one block at a time, or on highly automated continuous lines, producing blocks or laminated foam panels.

As the foam  process already has zero ozone depletion potential, Polyphen® is not faced with a costly change-over to either expensive HFC blowing agents or flammable solvents requiring flame proof equipment, unlike many other foams.

Panels

Polyphen®  can be converted into steel clad panels cost-effectively, on existing  continuous conveyor lines that produce widely used polystyrene/steel  panels.  These lines draw steel from coils, which is roll-formed and coated with glue to create panels with easy-to-assemble tongue-and-groove edges.
